Help Plan & Run The Burn
When do things happen?
November: Board of Directors (2 year position)
December: Event Producers (14 months, Dec to Jan)
Jan to Mar: Department leads (6 to 10 months, until November)
April to July: Team leads (4 to 8 months, until November)
Sept: On-site volunteer (3 hours +)

Ready to step into a leadership role with the team that plans and runs Alchemy? Openings for department and team leads are announced between December and March, but you can let us know your interest at all times! Form coming soon please return.
Burner Services - Hosts the welcome into the autonomous space we call “the burn,” managing greeters, education, gate, and more.
Safety - Manages fire safety & EMS relationships, oversees rangers, and sanctuary.
D6 - Actively cultivates volunteerism throughout the larger community and interactions with theme camps.
Communications - Manages public messaging about Alchemy. Involves social media, survival guide, pocket guide, and more!
Art - Manages onsite art projects & art grants, mutant vehicles, center camp and conclave.
Operations - Oversees city build, structures, public works and manages contracts with operations vendors.
City Planning- Manages placement, sound, shuttles, maps, and more
Fire Services - Ensures safe burn downs, fire art, and remediates unintentional fires.
Leadership Support - Assists leadership with a helping hand, meal, training coordination, and more

Board Members & Officers
Flashpoint Artists Initiative is a community run non-profit that runs the Alchemy and Euphoria burns and supports the arts in the Southeast. Our mission is to create spaces for the expression of art.
FAI is run by a community-elected Board of Directors who serve two-year terms. Applications to the board are solicited from the community at large yearly, typically in November or December. If you’re interested in joining the board leadership or becoming an organization officer keep an eye out for announcements on our website, newsletter and social media accounts.
