Please tell us about the experience (professional, burn world, or otherwise) that you can contribute to the FAI BOD. In my professional life I have helped run and manage a restaurant of 50 staff and have done purchase orders and scheduling, in the burn community i have successfully run a theme camp for 5 consecutive burns and have orchestrated the serving of over 300 people a day at said burns. In conclusion I'm good at herding cats.
What roles have you served in at Alchemy and/or Euphoria? In leadership positions at other burns? Lamplighter lead Alchemy 2018. Assistant Placement lead 2018, 2019
Please describe your leadership style and experience (in detail). My leadership style can be described as cool and calm. I work well under pressure and am not afraid to get my hands dirty. I never ask anyone to do anything I'm not willing to do myself. I also don't believe in letting people work alone. If I see someone struggling I jump in to help; nobody should have to bear a burden alone.
Please describe a time you experienced a team conflict and the steps you took to peacefully resolve it (in detail). The most recent time of team conflict resolution has to be at my last job. On my third day after coming as the new head chef the kitchen staff was getting ready to walk out due to not being paid. After getting the staff calmed down and willing to talk to me as a third party. I was able to talk the owner into cutting everyone a check that night and by the end of the week everyone was set up with direct deposit from a payroll company..... what I think I learned in this interaction is that its important to have a third neutral party involved in conflict resolution
