Alchemy Dates/Place/Tickets!

At the end of 2022, we found ourselves on (yet another) search for a new venue to host Alchemy. We wanted to find somewhere we could call “HOME” again. After an absurd amount of research and planning, we think we have found that option. We are pleased to announce that Alchemy 2023 will be held Oct 19–23, at Chattahoochee Hills.

We initially left Chat Hills due to restrictions around Fire Safety Rating requirements for camp tent structures. We always knew we *could* work within the limitations, but honestly, we didn’t want to unless absolutely necessary because it will be a crap ton of extra work. As we were working through that, the option for us to return to Cherokee Farms came up and we jumped on it - and it was absolutely worth it! Now it’s time for us to take the momentum of all the power, creativity, and connection we created last year and make Chattahoochee Hills a home we can settle down in.

We were grateful to find that since our last event at Chat Hills in 2019 it has become increasingly more common for structures to meet the fire safety rating requirements — even basic options from Walmart now meet these needs. We are working on plans to dedicate a minimum of 20k to assisting Theme Camps with replacement or upgrades to structures that don’t meet the requirements (personal tents are not impacted).

Coordinating between all the necessary parties to make this happen is a BIG job, and we intend to have more details on the infrastructure upgrade plans in the next two weeks. With the event date getting closer and closer we also knew we needed to get information into people’s hands. If you have skills that could be helpful as we finalize the logistics of our plan here please e-mail alchemyec@alchemyburn.com ASAP.

Tickets will be sold at two tiers of pricing - $175 & $225

Rounds 1 (Jun 3) & 2 (Jun 26) sales will be public sales. All pricing tiers will be released at the same time. We are asking everyone to be honest. If you can afford to pay more please do and leave the cheaper ticket for someone who can’t. While we haven’t finalized our population cap yet, we are aiming to have 40% of tickets sold at the lower pricing tier.

Round 3 sales will be directed sales for Theme Camps and Funded Art Projects only. We are estimating roughly 4 tickets per camp and 2 per art project at the lower tier pricing ($175). Once we have sold out all 3 rounds and have a certain % of volunteer shifts filled we will consider doing a 4th round public sale closer to the event.

Scholarship Applications, Volunteer Reserve Ticket Info, Theme Camp Grant Info, Estimated financials for 2023 and so much more will be released in the next couple of weeks. There is also a basic spreadsheet to help track dates & links: https://bit.ly/3I4hk2C. Save this link, we will keep it updated as the year progresses.
